Our experience tells us that claims will most quickly be settled by:
1. prompt reporting to the insurer with the appropriate completed claim form
and supporting documentation;
2. having good communication established between insurer and insured, and;
3. where needed, having knowledgeable and experienced, approved legal counsel
available to the insured. This is particularly important for legal liability claims.
To facilitate step one, above, claim forms are available on the forms download page. Once the insured has completed a claim form, scan and email it with supporting documentation to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you wish you may copy our Cheryl Searle in on this correspondence. On receipt of the claim form Chartis will record the claim details and contact the insured's broker to progress the claim to conclusion.
Claims involving reimbursement or payment direct to the insured are normally paid by direct payment to the insured's bank account so please ensure bank account details are included on the completed claim form.
At any time in the claims process we are willing and able to provide assistance. Insureds or brokers are free to contact us for support or assistance in getting claims processed/settled and likewise we provide assistance to the insurers to finalise claims.
